    Apr 3,2024

    Regular Cleaning and Inspection:

1.Regular cleaning is essential to remove dirt, grime, and debris that can tarnish the appearance and cause corrosion of the stainless steel cables over time.

2.Regularly inspect the railing for any signs of damage such as loose or damaged cables, loose fittings, corrosion or rust.

    Proper Cleaning Methods:

1.Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach, ammonia or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the protective layer of stainless steel, causing discoloration or pitting.

2.Clean with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and air dry or wipe dry with a soft cloth.

3.For coastal areas, monthly cleaning is required to remove salt buildup which can be damaging.

    Cable Tension Maintenance:

1.One of the key maintenance tasks is re-tensioning the cables periodically to keep them taut and up to code. Loose or sagging cables can compromise safety.

    2. Use the provided tensioning tools to properly tension the cable runs as needed.

    Hardware Checks:

1.Annually check all screws, fasteners and cable fittings for snugness and tighten or replace as required.

2.Inspect caulking around base plates/mounts and replace if deteriorating to prevent moisture issues.

Following these cleaning, inspection, tension adjustment and hardware check procedures is crucial for maintaining the integrity, safety and attractive appearance of your stainless steel cable railing system over its lifetime.
